Has anyone seen Collateral?

I saw this movie for the first time last night and i thought it was pretty damn good! I wasnt sure when i heard about it bt after watching it i was suprised! Lotsa action, lotsa guns n suspense and Tom Cruise wasnt too bad either!
So yeh i recommend to those who havent seen it, and those who have just wondered what you thought about it?

Good as Heat? Hmmmm thats tough. One things for sure, Micheal Mann rules. Brilliant movie, have it on DVD. Can't wait for his next movie - Miami Vice, teaser is awesome.

Yeh true minority report was a really good film, bt then the whole story n like what it was about was something never seen before so i dont really think they can be compared bt yeh thts probz my fav one of his!
I dont think ive ever seen heat, heard about it though...supposed to be good

To say the truth, I didn't really like it so much. Jamie Foxx was just annoying and the ending... Well, it pretty much sucked imo. It had good shoot-outs though.

Michael Mann is a good director though, I really like 'Heat' which is one of my favourite movies

The concept itself was kinda ridiculous. Neat, but ridiculous. The moment Jamie started giving him lip, he should have shot him in the face and gotten a different driver.

Still, it was very slickly made enough where I could suspend my disbelief, so I really enjoyed it. The ending was kinda meh, and in a way I wanted Cruise to complete his job. But that's me. I want bad guys to win.

I really liked it, it was classic Mann. Cruise is great in it, and I'm kind of with absinthe- I sometimes root for the bad guy.

Minority Report was my favourite Tom Cruise movie, and i don't even remember what Collateral was about.

Vanilla Sky is his best to me, and Minority Report is the only other movie that I like that has him in it.

I haven't seen Collateral yet, though.

I really like this movie and especially enjoyed the part at the Korean nightclub; its one of my favorite movie moments. I <3 the song that plays during it and it has some fancy shooting too.

Micheal Mann movies are usually very good..well IMHO anyways

I don't much care what he's like in real life if it doesn't seep into his movies. Nicolas Cage seems like one of the biggest twats in existance due to an interview I saw with him, and Russel Crowe threw a phone at someone because he is a dick. However, I regard them both as very talented actors.

But it seems like Cruise gets his muddy little paws on every movie he has ever been in. If you have ever seen the DVDs, just about each and every one of them is his face for the cover. So many movies where its just him, and he is always the good guy, the hero, blah blah. Gerblah.

Also, Mission Impossible was terrible, and Mission Impossible two was impossibly worse. I'm guessing that 3 will be better than 2, since it would be impossible to be worse, but I'm almost positive that it will be bad. :|

The acting in war of the worlds was freaking annoying...and the whole family story kinda ruined what the war of the worlds was really supposed to be about, imo...

Collateral was cool. Yes the story was pretty unrealistic etc. but it was great otherwise.

So many good recent movies that I need to see though...they just keep coming and theres no time to watch them all

Tom Cruise playing the bad guy was excellent. This movie had the right actors and one of the best directors out there. This movie is awesome, and if you haven't seen it, you should.

Yeh i thought tht, ive never really see him play bad guys before, he does always seem to pull off every role he does though, like minority report, last samurai, mission impossible etc hes a pretty good actor

He was real good in collateral.. I loved the scene where he pops those thugs in the alley. It was so graphic, there was no remorse. BOOM! BOOM!

His character in this movie just shows NO sympathy. Truly badass.

Collateral was great, but they shot it in HD which I thought was a mistake. They did that so they wouldn't need to use much lighting. I thought the blacks and whites were too crushed.
