Well I just got a call from my sister. Shes 17 and she works at a burgerking up the street from where I live. They close the lobby about 845 - 9pm so, and the customers still eating there get locked in kind of. So a guy walks up to the register and says he has a 1.25 what will it buy him... he pulls out .25 and ask again thn he puts his hand back in his pocket and says he has a gun, and he wants all the money in the register. So my sister backsup sort of astonished and opens the register... he retrieves the money. My sister tells the manager that they just had been robbed, the manager doesnt believe her... a few seconds pass the guy throws a chair through the glass door and proceeds to run out. not sure But i hear some people ran after him but he manged to escape... also the burger king has security camera but there was no film... good thing the chair had never been touched so his prints are on it..

anyone else been robbed? or witnessed a robbery.. what do you think you would do sit and watch or risk yourlife

no but i stole a loaf of marble rye bread from an old lady once.

My house was burglarized a long time ago... took my dad's laptop, music tapes out of the car, and two rifles. We had a pretty damn good guess who did it, but there just wasn't enough evidence left to anything with.

My former place of employment was burglarized three times within a year... then we got security.

I was pickpocketed at the Calgary Stampede once. It sucked.

kinda, when i was about 5, we just moved into our new house in Petaluma, California. The first night we stayed in the house, we left the garage door open, and they stole my dads bike, it was a pretty expensive mountain bike. Somehow, when my mom brought me to the nearby park a few days later, i found it behind some bushes....weird....

theres only one thing to do when theres a robbery, esp. an armed one... exactly what they tell you. its careless and stupid to antagonise someone who could have a loaded weapon and be on crack.. even if you dont care about your own personal safety, you might cause them to hurt others.
the best thing you can do is pay attention and remember what happens for the cops later.

I live in a place where robbery is almost unheard of...but recently there have been a lot of thefts, and everyone has a good idea about whos doing it, but we dont have enough evidence to convict anyone. Just a few days ago an old lady had loaded up her truck with a bunch of home grown produce, went in her house for less than a minute, came back out and the truck was gone. Its really wierd, because her driveway is 200-300 feet long, and her house is surrounded by a huge field where theres nowhere to hide. No one can figure out how it happened so quick.

I heard a great story from one of my friends at school about a robbery, his mom was shoping at one of the foriegn food marts we have here in the US, no one speeks english, and they dont look healthy...

Any ways she finds whats shes looking for and starts to go back to her car and she sees a guy tring to break into hit, so she yells at him and shouts back to the store for them to call the cops, the people in the shop just stand there and watch for awhile then go back to what they where doing. So she looks around and sees a Marine Corps recruting center, runs over there and yells for help.

So at first the guy was just kinda walking quickly away to avoid attention, but now theres a couple of Marines running him down so he runs like hell, but not fast enough, they held him there in a painfull position untill the cops got there to take him away.

How stupid do you have to be to try and rob some one when there is any combat branch of goverment building a few blocks away?

Afew stupid kids around the area where we used to lived broke into our shed and stole some old keyboards and some broken CD's...wow.

Never been robbed in my life, although if anyone wants to try, just PM me and i'll give you my address.

note: you may never regain full use of your limbs

'bin robbed at gunpoint in Trinidad...

[Seinfeld] Give it to me you old bag! [/Seinfeld]

Anyway, McFly, its funny you mention how your dad's bike got stolen because the same damn thing happened to my family. Years ago (my family still can't remember who did it) one of us left our garage light on with the door open. The next morning my parent's bikes were gone.

We never got them back but its not like we were devastated or anything. If I remember correctly my parents bought new bikes a month after it happened.

Its nice to take pictures of your belongings so your insurance can cover it ..hopefully. but my sis is ok all is well and shes quitting tommorow :). I might try to do an investigation on this camera thing.. trying ot see how many fast food restaurant have security cameras But no film and if they dont work do the employees know that they may be in danger... sounds good :)

only thing i feel a little bit paranoid ;/

Kind of off topic, but it's my favorite robbery story ever.

Some loser broke into a WWII veterans house and stole his .45 colt. The sucklechimp proceeded to head to a nearby convenience store and use the pistol to rob the cashier. As often happens, this guy decided to simply kill the cashier rather than have a living witness left behind.

The perpetrator calmly lined up his sights, and pulled the trigger.... *CLICK*. Now, this guy was not smart enough to have purchased new ammunition, but knew it was loaded... so he did the only thing he could think of....... he looked down the barrel. At which point he gave himself a free, and somewhat messy frontal lobotomy.

Damn those vintage Colt's and their irritating hangfires! :E

where I live (north mississippi) robbery is very rare because everyone is armed to the teeth. no one wants to get shot. but if you cross the stateline into memphis, TN, it's a completely different story.

well kinda the opposite for me because my friends and i went in the back door of a beverage store and took some booze. only once i swear.

And once some guy tried to hijack my grandma's car and she pulled out a knife and told him she'd cut off his testicals and shove em down his neck. (this was in the brox) He ran off....

Well two days ago two guys approached me when I was having a cigarette in a park near my house, and asked for a cigarette, I said I don't have many left, and they wanted to see the box to see I'm not lying, well apparently, what I consider not much is not what they consider it to be, so one of them grabbed me by the shirt and started shouting something, I pushed his arm off, and he decided to slap me, then I got up and started punching them, my cigarette box dropped so one of them picked it up and they started running..

Well, maybe they earned a couple of cigarettes, but I bet they both had a headache after it happened :P

my mom's dodge caravan almost got stolen, but luckily, I was standing right there. So I chased his ass across the entire parking lot, but he dodged into traffic. He almost got hit by another caravan, but he didn't. too bad, it would have been ironic.

When I was 9 some cholo **** knocked me off my bike and took it. I woulda' gotten hurt bad if I hadn't been wearing my helmet.

And before I started working at Hollywood Video someone robbed it.

Two bicycles have been stolen from me.... but thats normal in Holland :(

My bike got stolen about 2 weeks ago :( It sucks!

Wasn't a particularly expensive one but I have soo many memories attatched to it :(

Not yet ,but iv got 200000 volts with some robbers name on it if he trys 2 get in here.

Someone on my school stole a few cds from me (wich i had in my backpack), I punched him once at school ( he cried all the way to the teachersroom ) , and later that day infront of his house. His little brother saw it all and brought me the cds while i was still threatening the asshole who was denying everything... gets me REALLY pissed of and aggressive...
The most irritating part was when he started lying to his mom about what happened, his mom called my mom very angry n stuff >:o

maybe his brother stole em :|

or he's a masochist...

Good thing no one was harmed, your sister's lucky nofx ;)

I've been mugged three times in the past four years, lost some valuable stuff but never been really hurt. The first was the worse though, because I had a small knife on me and I didn't want to use it, and there were three guys: but when he took the knife and starting swinging it around me I was really pissed off, I thought to myself I should have stabbed him in the eye first chance I had. Luckily nothing happened, they just took my stuff and I just took a few punches. Life in the big cities is always full of excitement :)

ah, well in that case, let the beatings continue!

my cellphone got stolen when i talked in it once..the guy just ran by and tock the phone and ran away...

I got a question do you think it would be possible to sue Burgerking.
Because 1st: Their security cameras didnt work , thus leaving my sister in great danger. Say someone came in their shot her, stole themoney and ran out they wouldnt have a clue.
2nd: They take money out her paycheck to ensure things security features like this work in this place.

I know there are some lawyer educatedpeople on theese forums. Do you think this would be possible to sue them.

ELAINE: Your views on race relations are fascinating. You really should do an op-ed piece for the Times.

JERRY: Um, um, Look to the cookie Elaine. Look to the cookie.

Yakuza: why would he break into the house to set it on fire? wouldnt it have been easier to set the fire outside?
I think you got robbed by a dumbass :)

everyone else: wow some of you live in some crazy neighbourhoods .....you should consider moving
