Hi, I searched other threads, I didnt find my problems solution. First off, I used the "Realistic tunnel" tutorial on Snarkpit. My problem is that when i do paint alpha to blend the road and the grass, the grass turns into the rock texture I used, not the dirt texture on the road.

Also, when I did "invert alpha" why did the road turn to dirt, and not rock? It still registers as the rock texture when I click it.

I think that I followed the tutorial exactly as it was written.

Heres a screenshot of my problem

EDIT: Also, how do I make my textures bigger so it doesnt seem as if you can see the pattern repeating?

Kind of looks like seperate brushes cause that transition looks so sharp. The best way to scale textures is to do it manually and not to mess with 'fit' as it will stretch the texture, unless it is a small square like brush. You can do it by going into the texture properties then you can change the numbers in both x and y coordinates under texture scale.

I get the same problem with blending.
Lets say there is a rock with grass growing on it, the tool in hammer starts painting grass first then adding rock to it, when it should be the other way round.

djredline invert alpha then when your painting make sure the radio button is set on 'raise to'. Also vigilante you said that when you tried blending that it came out as rock then when you inverted alpha the road changed to dirt. Meaning it was grass before? In that case you are probably using a rockdirt blend and not dirtgrass but you just applied a diff. texture before.
