:frown: ...I'm at my damn wits end, so anyway, the reason why I'm at that point.

I bought some 30 buck logitech headset a while ago, and it worked fine, it has the standard mic/headphone plugs and it worked fine up until maybe 2 weeks ago where I was playing a game and the left headphone just died, it completely shut down. So then I used my cd player headphones, worked excellent minus the quality of course for about a month. Today I just bought these antec lansing headphones for 35 dollars, very comfortable, but wait, they have the same "standard plugs", the mic/headphone plugs, and to my suprise <---- I use that term loosely, the left headphone is barely playing any music/producing sound, wtf is wrong? Please help someone, I'm about to dive off a cliff. I tried them in my dads computer and he can barely hear in the left headhpone. So if someone knows the problem, please reply. (I'm a very angry person, so don't mind the "attitude" above.) :frown:

I'm not sure why only one side of the headset works correctly...especially not just on your PC.
Could your stereo plug on your PC have caused the headphones to break? Do you have stereo front ports or do you plug in the back?

But if you live near a Compusa may I suggest a replacement plan. :D

DONT get a replacement plan from compusa. Gah, I spent like 60 bucks for a 2yr replacement plan for my mp3 player, and it broke in like 8 months. Then I get there and they ask me if I want a replacement plan... and I said I already have one, which is why your giving me another mp3 player... and they said "The warrenty is Void if you replace it.

I fking hate compusa now. Go to Sears, they have real replacement plans... 2 yrs and you can replace as many times as you need.

Gah..no you see it wont work even in my dad's computer. Both the headphones that I bought have the mic/headphone plugs and like you can't hear sound, well barely any, from the left side...I dont know..What bugs me the most is that the cheapo cd player headphones work flawlessly, you know?

Also I have the front ports and a backport. Damn it!!

Well it's a 1 time replacement. It says that on the paper they should have gave you. Then you get another plan on the new one. and another...never have to buy the product again if you keep tripping over that cord and it breaks. :D

Lol, yeah..but I dont want any hassle whatsoever. My dad says he has some like cables or plugins that could very well fix it just that he has no time to look for them, so I'll have to look around the house. The headset DOES work, just that little issue. The others worked fine up until doomsday when the left ear died lol. :(

Do you use the front or back plugins on your computer? Do you think that one of them (front more likely) to cause the headphones to go bad?
Or were you using them else where when they went bad?

No see, they worked fine with the logitech pair, then during a game the left just kind of, died, you know? Ever since then those "type" of headphones dont work, so I bought another pair last night from altec lansing at best buy, and they have the same headphone/mic plugs, put it in, and only the right sound makes..well sound. Tried it in my dads pc, same thing. So heh.. :hmph:

Edit: I just went to CircuitCity and they tested the headphones on a system of theirs and it appears to them it IS the headphones, heh go figure, 2 faulty headsets. So I bought some pretty expensive Sennheisers and plugged them in at home, heh works! :D The sound is so damn clear and crisp. Anyway thanks for all the input. Thread Closed? ;)
