OK. I have tryed EVERY POSIBLE WAY TO CONNECT THESE STUPID SMALL WIRES TO THE MOBO. Iv read the manual 100 times. It just doesnt want to work. I got it to register 1 side of the headphone ONCE that was it. Can someone plz tell me what im doing wrong.

And someone PLZ TELL ME WHY they made these wires seperate and not one whole plug.......My old ass DELL has it all in 1 wtf..

ERRRAHAHAHH!HH!H!

It is fiddly just goto stick at it and make sure you get it right. Follow the instructions as closely as possible. Also I always make sure that the description on the the little tabs faces out so you can see it all the way round.

The manual was wrong, i just guessed it and got it right.

Everything works. Headphones and mic.

But my headphones sound weird. For example.

All windows sounds are very low. When i go in cs it sound extremly weird. Like shooting sounds are insanely high but walking and environment sounds are very low. Its really weird sound.

"really good" and "on-board" aren't to be used in the same sentence

i'd say get a new sound card, possibly an audigy 2 zs if ur cheap

make sure u have "headphones", or "2 speakers" selected in windows manager

Quoted for truth.

Since he's not cheap though, the X-Fi series is the only way to go. ;)
(I'm going to get one myself actually :naughty: )

Audigy 2zs's have come down in price and they are real good sound cards if your budget can't stretch to a x-fi

It's an asus that's why. asus sucks shit, didn't you know?
