from the looks of it, a heavy rain movie is about to happen:

i suppose it could be good given how cinematically tied the game is already. but doesn't making a linear movie of the game defeat the game's very purpose of choose-your-own-adventure? They better shoot multiple stuff for the DVD.

p.s. HOWEVER visually the movie could be stunning. give david fincher this directing job.

because Heavy Rain had a groundbreaking story, right?

So they're gonna make a movie.

Out of what the devs call an interactive movie.

So this is a movie. Of an interactive movie. Without the interactive.

This would make such a thrilling movie! And, oh yes, the WONDERFUL twist at the end will have everyone standing up and cheering in their seats, not cursing the movie for leading them on only to shatter any guesses they had, giving them with the real solution akin to having 2+2=7!

The game is terrific, but a movie kind of defeats the purpose of it. Does Quantic own the IP? If so, I can't imagine David Cage and Co. would let this hapen given everything he has said in the past. UGh. Well, cash is cash I suppose.

Why make a movie adaptation when everyone's already seen Se7en and Saw?

The game's already directly rips off Se7en to an almost hilarious degree. Besides everyone is sick of the Saw films. REALLY sick of them.

Heavy rain and Fahrenheit are games known for the flexibility of the story. Why the hell would you canonize a story arc to make a movie that will most likely join the bigass list of video games to movie failure.

Unless the move is CGI.

now is gonna be the oposite

they will make a movie as ad-on for every game instead of a game of a movie

you will see when they gta5 and the movie of gta5 in the summer and call duty:burly stealthy marines snake eaters whit a movie released at the same time
