Hey, I've been lurking around here for awhile, and decided to introduce my face just now. I've been playing CS:S for awhile, I like it so far, and it's a lot better than 1.6 (as I see a lot of you think as well).
I've got a problem though, and anyone who has had any experience with this or has any advice or help they could give me would be great. My problem is that everytime I play CS:S, it tends to slow down after awhile. This happens if I play multiplayer, or if I just mess around in my own private server. I play for around 5 minutes at 30-50 FPS, then it starts to gradually slow down to around 20-30 FPS on average, and even dips down to 5-10 FPS in relatively light firefights (even 1v1). My specs are:
P4 1.7Ghz
1Gb Rambus
Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti 4600
Windows 2000
Just reinstalled the whole thing under a month ago.
