I suppose I should introduce myself.
I've been watching this forum - Ok, just the thread on Info from Valve - for a few months now, and I finally got a response from Rick Ellis, so I decided to register and post it.
I promise not to post in any threads concerning HL2's release date. I respect Valve for waiting until it's finished properly before releasing it. When it finally is released, it will blow everyone away, even the people who've read everything there is to read, even the people who've played the leaked build from start to finish. I have a lot of faith in Valve.
I think the Combine are awesome. Valve's artists and designers really hit on something when they designed them. They are a brilliant mix of 30's-40's industrial style and alien designs which results in a futuristic-yet-intimidating look and feel. I am looking forward to fighting them and running away from them.
I'll let you know of any other opinions I have in my future posts, and I look forward to participating in this community.
