Hello, newbie with simple question...

Hello, dont laugh at this rediculously "Newbie" question.
Actually its PRE-newbie, as I have not purchased HalfLife 2 yet.

Does the game support Joystick play? Or will I have to use the keyboard and mouse for it?

If no Joystick support, has anybody tried using a program called "Joy to Key" for this game? (its a program to emulate keystrokes with a joystick).

Couldn't you at least attempt some decency to answer his question...you really are unbelieveable. (or credit Ennui?)

I believe there is support for joysticks on halflife 2. But i'll be honest with you this is a first person shooter, and as 99% of people here will tell you, if you want a good experience from it learn how to use a mouse and keyboard. Its by far the best combination and all fps's use it on pc, learning it will benefit you for many more games, but thats just my opinion, if your hearts really set on a joystick then enjoy.

If that was a sarcastic "HellOOoooooo..", some of us old schoolers prefer using the stick. It just has a much more natural feel for the play; shooting, moving, ect. Thats if the game supports all the sticks functionality. Sure, I still use keyboard for some actions as there are too many to use just the joystick. I can type 40 wpm but that doesnt help alot in game play. Keyboard & mouse playing just doesnt "feel" right. Of course thats in my opinion, but as a "MUCH SUPERIOR TO YOU player" thats all that counts!:naughty:

Don't use a joystick, I've tryed FPS's with them and it doesn't hold a candle to using the mouse (which they were designed to use)
