HELLPPPP half life 2, init shader system error?

I just got half life 2 and i looked at the requirments and thought i could play it. I got home and installed it with no problum but when i start the game it just goes to an error message that said "init shader system error" Iv tryed to reinstall my drivers and it still dident work?? plz help here is my system specs

i know that my laptop is crap but im pritty sure its not the hardware the vid card is new enough and has direct x 9.0?but u guys tell me.
