Help - 3d skybox is screwed up [weird]

It's hard to describe the problem, I don't know what is going wrong and I can't figure out what it is. It doesn't seem like I've done anything wrong according to the documentation or SDK, but obviously either I or they have missed something, because it isn't working.

If any of you have the time/effort to try and help me with my problem as it is holding up progress on my work, that'd be fantastic and I'd be much obliged.

The .bsp and .vmf are in this directory:

i never looked at the prob, but i did fart about with it
u may want to "buildcubemaps " in console to sort the glass n stuff
 
You got the skyboxes working, and the lighting I think could be fixed by putting in proper lights. Could you upload the updated .vmf as well, or tell me what you did? Thanks.

ill redo it, seeing as ur probably sleeping at this time, i have time to do so

and this time ill include the fekin valve map file :rolleyes:
 
Hmm.. I had a look at it, and for the life of me I still can't figure out what you changed to make the skyboxes work. Can you give me some tips?
 
what i did was, completely removed ur skybox, Selected the block tool ,
Went to the right hand side block tool options, and changed the categorie[menu] to prefabs and the objects[menu] to box

added it to map,that gives u a default room/skybox with player start /ungroup/delete player start.

change sky vai the map properties

then i went to ur outer skybox,[ one with the building] and adjusted the buildings down then i added a light spot inside ur map in the sky, pointing it at ur water,
retextured over ur walls and grass, to see full sun effect.

any help?
