Hello, I have a dell pc which i bought ages ago before i realised what i could buy from elsewhere. Now, I am heavily interested in music and making it and ive been using my soundblaster audigy 2 for both of these. Now today suddenly it does not work, and I am extremely bored - i want to record and listen!

I've re-installed the drivers given with my dell pc but i still get no sound. Once i had restarted after this the standard windows add/remove affair came up and it couldnt find the drivers on the disk (as i thought i should try again as it still isnt working).

If anyone can help me i'll like... I dunno but be very greatful!

So it suddenly stopped working? Did you do anything inside teh case recently, or did you install any software? If you are running XP then you could try doing a system restore to go back to a point where it did work, or try it in another pc.

If you havnt already, try switching to asio drivers in your editor/host/sequencer (you should always use asio drivers for producing btw). If you can hear sound (through your program) now go to control panel/sounds and audio devices/audio/volume and check your levels. I would guess the wave volume is just turned down (some retarded programs like realplayer can cause this).

Nope, ive sorted my problem now, thanks anyway. Had to take out the card and screw it back in, loose or something I guess. Case closed.
