its title is all this porn stuff, but theres actually no porn in this file i need to delete. it wont even open or anything and has no image on the thumbnail ,just a bunch of porn in the title its not a virus or spyware/adware cause i scanned for both already.

when i right click on it theres only the options:

-edit
-print
-play
-open
-preview
-rotate clockwise
-rotate counter-clockwise
-set as desktop background
-open with...
-send to

and none of these options work. and yes i already tried dragging it to the recycle bin but it doesnt work either.

any suggestions?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

majorgeeks.com has some utilitys that will hopefully help remove it.

I have only two words for you, and they both consist of 'ha!'

just open a DOS prompt and kill it through DOS, it should work

edit: btw if you're missing certain options when you right-click, that sounds incredibly dodgy. Sure you haven't been trojann'd?

Sounds like a file that keeps a port open on your comp. You open the file it then makes itself un deletable and starts when windows does and keeps a port open. Its a backdoor entrance. Hehe, backdoor

Agreed.

You may need to boot Windows into Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Command Prompt beforing doing this. The command, in case you're unfamiliar with the Windows shell, is del [filename].

Yea this happened to me too with avi files. To delete em, i open the task manager and i kill explorer. Then i open a command prompt and like psyno said, go to the directory where the file is and type : del [nameofthefile].

And just to be completely sure you know what we're talking about, the way to open a command prompt is Start>run> then type 'cmd', or from Task Manager go to File>Run>cmd.

To boot into safe mode or safe mode with prompt just hammer F8 when your comp is starting up.
