Heh, well after dropping many hints to my dad about me wanting a new video card for my computer he finally asked me about it and i told him i wanted a 9600 pro. However to my dismay i've found that the card isn't as widely available as it used to be a few months ago. All i see are chopped up versions of it or a cheap 9200 crapola but no 9600 pros at a decent price. All i see are 9600 SE, 9600 and 9200 to be precise with the of course higher priced 9800 thrown in for the rich folk. I coulnd't ask for a $300 dollar gift from my dad so i decided on the 9600 pro but i still haven't been able to find anything at all.

Can anyone help me find some of these cards in my area? I am aware of Newegg and those other internet services but i don't think my dad is a fan of online shopping.

I'm in the Dallas, TX area. More specifically, i live in Irving in an area called 'Las Colinas' right by Coppell and Lewisville. Holy smokes, able to offer any insights or good places? Anyone else?

The zip code is 75063 in case anyone needs to know.

Thanks in advance.

the only way to go is online shopping :D, Well, try ebuyer.com or .co.uk depends where you live

Anyways, I have a 9600pro and in the display properties it says 9600 series, oh please god dont say I dont have a pro version cause thats what I ordered

This should be in the hardware section, shouldnt it ?

try www.pricewatch.com, they usually have deals thru the site. they link to online sellers like gameve.com, allstarshop.com, etc. but you have to buy via pricewatch to get the prices listed. you may not care, but with a video card i usually go for 'retail' version over oem (they'll make that distinction more-or-less explicit in the adds on pricewatch). i'd recommend the 9600proXT, it's as badass as you can get for under $200. there are probably other means, but i use pricewatch for most of my PC shopping.
