HELP Game Crashes At Same Point!!!!

First chapter- "Red Letter Day"- Train Depot- After I go in the one boxcar and onto the roof then jump to the train next to it and then over the fence- go to the building and down the steps- on the steps u get a load- after it says loading for a while it suddenly just goes back to the Half-Life main screen... wtf is wrong i cant stand this crap and I cant get past this point!!! Someone tell me how to fix this crap Thanks

hmmmm. I had the exact same problem. Many people had problems that were like the computer would overload every 5 minutes or so and crash but for some, it crashes at the exact same spot. I uninstalled and re-downloaded/ re-installed HL2 and it worked. (even though the guy from valve i contacted said a crash at that spot was a problem with the server).

So yeah, that worked for me, but now im having the exact same thing happen much later in the game. If i find a solution that is different than uninstalling and reinstalling, ill get back to you

Are you getting the memory could not be read error?
What Windows Service pack are you running?
