HELP!!! Half Life 2 episode 2 ps3

Ok, I'm at the part where the Vort volunteer's you to go find the car. So I get to the car, and it says "Turbo not assigned" I've tried evrything, and I'm wondering if someone could help. It's a new controller, works perfectly well, and I've even used other controllers. Can someone help?

Are you playing on a PS3 or on a PC with a PS3 controller? Your post confuses me.

I'm going off memory here, but I think this should help:
Press start > Go to 'Controls' (or maybe 'Options' > 'Controls' - I don't remember) > Then go down to 'Vehicle Controls' > & just assign 'Turbo' to a button. I used R3 for mine.
