Help: How to install NPCs?

Can someone please tell me(in full detail) how to install NPCs other than the default ones that come with Garry's Mod 10? It's really bugging me! And if you could someone please also do one on adding playermodels? In full detail, of course, Thank you so much guys.

I don't know about npcs, but I'd say player models go in garrysmod\garrysmod\models\player\ and the model materials go in garrysmod\garrysmod\materials\models\player\
