Help im stuck early on

Hey people, im up to Route Kanal, and i enclose a screen shot of where i am, but im totaly stuck on where to go and what to do

There dosent seem to be any route that i can take to move on from herem, anyone?

There is a valve there that you can turn to make the water level go up. The best way to describe it would be behind those pipes on the lower rand hand side your screenshot.
