Help! I'm stuck in the 13th Stage, "Our Benefactors"

In the 13th Stage, I got the upgrade gravity gun. With that I killed a giant Strider, by picking up an electric ball with the gravity gun. After I killed the strider, I cannot go anywhere else. there is a passage way, but it is blocked by some electrical wall. What do I do?

If you are where I think you are in one end of the electrical wall you should see a colume of the electric balls. Use the grav gun and Knock the electric balls out of the colume by using L/mouse click or grab them with R/mouse click and throw them as you did with the strider.

That will bring down the electrical wall, jump up on the ledge and look down you should see a walkway you need to get onto the walkway it does not look like there is one there but there is.

Now you can continue on.

Yes, there is a force feild and behind it is its energy source, 3 glowing balls, just remove them all.

Try going back past the point where you took the strider down, walk back down that walkway a bit then go back to the electrical wall. Sometimes in the game you have to do things like that to make the result happen, only did it to me once while playing, well its worth a try.

I would not do that yet if you mean reinstall the whole game, you could try re-loading from a bit earlier in that level. That seems to have solved the problem for some people that have had various things not work.

You may not like this idea you could enable the console and use noclip to get past this point, not a cheat as such as the game is not doing what it should and you only have to use noclip for a second or two.

Open the options menu and clike on the keyboard option, then clike on advanced this will bring up a window with one option being "enable console" use your left mouse button to put a tick in the little box and press ok. That will close the box then press apply.

When the options box closes press the tilda key (next to the 1 on your keyboard) that will drop down the console screen. In the lower box type sv_cheats 1 and press return, then type noclip press return. You should see "noclip on" come up resume the game and you will be able to walk through walls. If "noclip on" does not come up then resume the game for a second or two then press the tilda key and try again.

After you have got through the bit where you are stuck just go back and un-tick enable console, and continue with the game. Sounds a bit long winded but it is very easy.

Sorry yes you do, then you don't have to go back and un-tick enable console. Hope this helps you.

One little point when you want to turn off noclip just type noclip into the console again and that will turn it off.

what about sv_cheats 1?

You can leav that on but if you want to turn the cheat mode off type in sv_cheats 0.

When you use noclip be very carefull with your forward motion key or you will find yourself way past the point where you are, ok.
