Help im stuck.

Im in water hazard where im supposed to open the gate for that canal so i can keep going but the lever you have to twist is broken, now i dont know where to go. Ive been running around for a while, anyone wanna help me?

Look straight at the lever. Turn 90 degrees to your right and shoot the explosive barrel through the fence.
