After playing HL2 for a bit I get this message. At first it would not even go past the intro, I then lowered the resolution down to 800 x 600 then it let me play for a bit then it shut down, and left me with this "Internal driver error in IDirect3DDevice9:: Present()" Dont know whats going on, any help would be awesome, thanks.

Specs:
AMD 3800+
1 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE 256mb

I downloaded the drivers from Nvidia, and also downloaded the directx from windows and it still wont work.... HELP!!!!

I had that problem with the latest driver, so I went back to 84.40 and it just stopped doing that...

84.40 is the version of the nVidia drivers that i have. I dont know the link, but i think it's still available on the nVidia web site.

i could not find the 84.40, I have done everything I can find on how to solve this issue and nothing has worked, oh and also it only happens when I play a Steam game, Ill play flight simulator and it will work fine. I only get this error when i play counter strike and hl2, PLEASE HELP!!!!!

What version of DX 9 do you have? Your card is fine, because it was made in 2004, but it seems to be a problem with your DirectX folder. Try googleing DirectX 9 updates, and you should get this fixed. :)

I have direct x 9.0c, I think thats the most up to date one but I'm not sure.
