2. CPU- If you buy a OEM CPU, it will not come with a HSF. A heatsink and fan is NEEDED. Retail CPU's include an HSF that will be fine. They also have a thermal pad ont he bottom so you will not need to purchase thermal compound.

5. PSU (If case doesnt come with it)
6. Case
7. Hard drive
8. CD/DVD/CDRW etc drive

Can one of you help me find a real good case with psu and fans from newegg.com im not really sure which one to pick at aa reasonable price

If you don't know what a power supply is, don't bother with newegg (unless you're not the one who's gonna assemble this). Go to Best Buy or something and talk to a rep.

normally a case that comes with a PSU doesn't have a good PSU, but good PSUs cost much. coolermaster makes the best cases, they aren't too budget though. I'm not actually sure. I have a crappy case.

If you get an antec sonata case you (should) get an antec 380W truepower, which is what I got ... It all depends on your price range.

why don't you just upgrade? get a 9600/9800 anotrher 256mb of ram or 512 if u can afford it, and if you must another HD. (which remiinds me i only have 500mb left in my C: drive, which is a 40gig, my 80gig i have just for ripped movies, so i guess i should start un-installing.) lol.
