I'm making a Cs:Source vid for T.V. production... and im trying to decide what song is best for soundtrack. Vote for which song you think would be most suitable above.

P.S. I'll make sure to post the final product when it's done, as long as I find out how to host it... :smoking:

Edit: Poll added, whoops.

Notice: Son et Lumiere and Inertiatic are connected tracks.. only seperated as files, get them both.

I've never heard/heard of any of the songs you mentioned above. I shan't vote.

meh, imo none of those bands would be good for a soundtrack for a CS:S video. You need something heavier. I recommend Suck It Up by (hed)p.e., Radiant Eclipse by Avenged Sevenfold, or Take this Oath by Killswitch Engage. Just my opinion though.

Yeah I was going with a7x at first... but I want to be more original, all the vids I see have the same music. It should be interesting working with either one of these songs, and I'm sure I can make it work fine with the final project.

i dont listen to gay music sorry...

Im sorry Mr. Skateboarding baller, but keep it to yourself, Mr. First post but still managed to be a pain in the ass. :D

ah so its origionality youre going for! I applaud that. In that case, I would recommend Give Me More by Apartment 26. Come to think of it, Jazz Metal would be pretty sweet for a video like that.

Thrice

No but i really like some As I Lay Dying, atreyu, or even the faint.

Wow, great idea! I'll go for another vid in that case.

I suggest you make the video first, then decide what music fits best over it. Im in a radio production class and we usually record talk first with a basic idea of what we want (intro, background music, sfx) then we just use trial and error. (acid a program, makes this very easy). Try some AC/DC or Enter Sandman by Metallica. Try some Yes like roundabout, or even Band On The Run, or snipets of any of those songs I mentioned. If you send me the video I can try some stuff for ya if I find the time to. Dude even that theme song for Grand Theft Auto III would work. Dont pick something and then feel like you are stuck with it.

Actually I story board videos based on what part of the song I am on.. it seems to work fine. I envision let's say on an intro to a chorus, a grenade blasting several dead corpses. I would log how long the sound clip is and what video I want to go with it. This way it takes long I know, but it's worth it because in the end you have exactly what you want.

a7x would be good. but a tad heavier maybe try some Unearth.

more importantly, can i star in this tv show you are doing?

pleasseee ;)

Rage against the machine - Killing in the name of!!

Good choice.

I forget the name of the track but it's track #7 on the Mars Volta album. That song rocks!!

The Faint would be awesome! I'm thinking Posed to Death or Total Job would make great background songs.

Another good song would be The National Anthem by Radiohead.

Might i suggest Sic Transit Gloria...Glory Fades by Brand New?

I think it would work well.

Dude, I got it. If you want kind of classical, then heavy when the grenade blows up, try getting some orchestral string instruments to play, then when the grenade gets thrown (In the vid), stop it, and as soon as it blows up (The same frame :D) play some really cool music from "Bond", not the bond movie, but the string group. So it'll sound like classical, but with a really amazing rock effect.

Hope that helps :D

God... looks like C & C is winning, but it still seems too close to tell, more votes needed!

As for all of everyone else's selections, I'll keep them in mind for next video. Thanks for your support.

IMO, if your doing a video it needs to work around the music to work well, not the other way round.

There are hardly enough votes to be considered a majority decision.
