Help me please

ugh. i'm stuck at the part right after you meet barney and he tells you to jump out the window. i jumped out the window and now i am in an area with four huge walls and a broken door. amd i supposed to go through the door? if so, how do i open it?

nm, i figured out my problem. i thought i was pressing the use command on the door but i was pressing a different button

Dno if u figured this out yet but, go thru the door and then and then lure the gaurd back outside, then shut the door on him , then go thru the place he was gaurding , thats how i did it anyway lol

I have the a similar problem! I get past the gard, but I don't have a clue where to go?? I went outside and everything I try to open/go into doesn't let me, what do I have to do?? I really can't figure it out! lol.

I think I got slightly stuck in that area too. I just wanted to play a little bit of the game last night to get my HL2 fix. I went outside for the first time where you see the Citadel. There are 2 entrances to Residential areas that deny you access. There is 1 entrance to the streets that deny you access and are guarded by 3 Combine guards, and then there is a cracked door guarded by 1 Combine guard. I've been trying to do anything I can to lure that bastard out of there but I haven't had any luck. He just keeps standing there. I had to just give up and go to bed after 10 minutes of trying to figure it out. Now I have to agonize over it while I work. Am I on the right track?
