Hi, I have had CS: Source for a while, and I am already running into problems. When I play, my FPS goes down to 20, which it shouldn't. I used to run the game on 80 fps, but for some reason, no matter what setting I out the game on, the game reduces the frames to 20 fps. Do you know what is wrong? My LCD screen always changes the frequency too and the refresh rate changes.

I have a GeForce 3 graphics card running the game, and it seems to be running a lot worse than on the beta version of the game. ;( ;(

If this has happened in the last couple of days, then there is the possibility that the recent patch is causing trouble with your NVidia card.

Go to Options-->Keyboard-->Advanced and make sure Enable Developer Console has a tick beside it. Then press the key to the top left of your keyboard next to 1. The console will appear. Type in:

mat_forcemanagedtextureintohardware 0

Hit return, and exit the console.

Might work, might not. Worth a try, though.

Edit: ignore the space in "hardware", that's just this forum that puts that in for a word that's too long.
