i bought the Counter Strike Source package at my local game store for $40 and i installed it and every time i go to play Counter Strike Source or DOD source it goes straight to my steam buy game screen....and i was wondering if i had to buy the games from steam again.

Hm... since you bought it from a store I think you need a serial key for Steam to validate before it's permanently added to your account.

you got a cd-key, did you? Click "activate a product on steam" on the left bottom side of the "store" screen
