I was playing The Orange Box on X360 and I went to answer the door, To my horror I found I'd kicked over my X360 and the disk had scratched. Does anyone know what causes this?

You move your xbox when its on and it kills your disks. I think its best lying down rather then on its side, more stable.

Your game is broke :(

The disc isn't 100% securely placed in the Xbox 360, that's how it's caused

You can try going to a electronics store, if they have a Disc Doctor they probably can fix it for around $5

You can also do it yourself this way(I once resurrected a scratched X360 DVD this way):
1 Spread a as thin as possible layer of toothpaste on the back of the DVD, using your finger
2 Wait for 5 minutes, not longer, not shorter
3 Remove the toothpaste with a wet soft cloth, then with a dry one
4 Try if it works again, if it doesn't repeat these steps
Make sure you don't bend the DVD too much, you can easily currupt the data.

Well that's common sense not to move it but he kicked it by accident.

You can go get it fixed, unless it's MORTALLY CUT.

your xbox plays other disks, right? Your lazer reader gizmo may be bent!

No "that's what you get for playing Orange Box on the 360" comment?

I'm disappointed.

the orange box on the 360 can be found for around $15 used now. no big worries

its probably good to buy even if you don't think you'll play it because you never know when your PC will fail. I had to do this for most of January when my PC crashed after a trojan wormed right through Norton's somewhat lousy internet protection

I got it for £13, new.

Oh dear, I got mine for £15 new.

I found Norton to be rubbish, Warped. You might want to try Trend Micro, I found it to be brilliant

HE WASNT PAYING ATTENTION BECAUSE HE WAS FOCUSED ON THE UNKNOWN PERSON KNOCKING AT HIS DOOR!

THE ORANGE BOX DISC WAS IN HIS XBOX360 AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT!
