I was playing The Orange Box on X360 and I went to answer the door, To my horror I found I'd kicked over my X360 and the disk had scratched. Does anyone know what causes this?

I got it for £13, new.
its probably good to buy even if you don't think you'll play it because you never know when your PC will fail. I had to do this for most of January when my PC crashed after a trojan wormed right through Norton's somewhat lousy internet protection
I'm pretty sure the box said not to move the 360 while there is a disk inside.
Pssh, us men read the directions after somethings gone wrong.

It's all so clear now.HE KICKED THE XBOX BECAUSE HE WASNT PAYING ATTENTION!
HE WASNT PAYING ATTENTION BECAUSE HE WAS FOCUSED ON THE UNKNOWN PERSON KNOCKING AT HIS DOOR!
THE ORANGE BOX DISC WAS IN HIS XBOX360 AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT!
