When i try to start Half-Life 2 Episode One or Episode 2 over Steam,it says "Preparing to launch Half-Life 2 Episode ...",but nothing happens,it exits that window,and nothing happens,and when i try to start Half-Life 2,it starts it,please,someone help!!!

Give it some time. Is your PC up to date? Mine isn't & it does the same thing, you just have to wait a bit for it to launch.

If not post back & we'll see if there's anything else to be done.

The most common fix to Steam's problems is deleting the ClientRegistry.blob file in your Steam folder. I'm not sure whether that would fix it in this instance, but you could always try renaming it.

What platform are you running it on? Have you tried Googling the problem?

It'll re-create it if it doesn't find it. That's what it's supposed to do. So when you delete it does the game still not launch?
