:afro: well its simpole realy and i know hwo to fix it but it takes hours....

problem: every time i try to run a hl2 game including counter strike : s, it tells me there has been problem with my games folder/ file , the only way ive worked out hwo to fix thhis is reboot my full system reinstall windows and have a clean scratch.. starting to piss me off when im loosing my rankings

any one know of anyways on witch to fix this problem quick and officently?

sorry GAIN dnt meen to be a pain in the arse, but ... its still being a **** lol, i got a clan game in likle 2 hours and dnt have time to restore windows etc restarting steam neva worked sadly :sad: any chance in giving me a link to a thred u posted the ay to fix it on ?

Try validating your steam files.

And go to steampowered.com and use their help database.

1 problem solved on to another

well i done every thing tht other sites tol dme bout my fiurst problem but i think i might now know the accuall problem its only 98 % compleatly updated how do i start the update again to finish it ?;(

Try restarting your computer, maybe it'll 'jump start' the download

tryd it man its still at 98% half life 2 works fine its just cs:s is there a way to start the download manually?

If restarting steam isn't working, go into the steam folder and delete the file called clientregistry.blob, steam will make a new one when you start it next and this should kick it in the arse to finish the CS Source download/ update.

sorry man tht neva worked same old bull shit .... " warning steam has found a problem with ur local games file. games files will now be reaquired from the steam servers.

thn u ok it and it just repeats the process ova and ova and ova..
