Help on joining CS game

I just dled CS and CZ (the package deal) from Steam, I go to play CS and I cant join any server. I always get stuck on the 'validating resources' or 'precaching resources' part. Anyone have this problem before and know how to fix it?

I had the same problem with cs. jsut try to load a server. leave have a nap or soemthign then eventualy it will say "server Timed Out" then close the game and try again. it should work on the second time you try. if not do the same thing.

Make sure that your CS isn't updating when you go to play. Check the monitor section of Steam to see if things are being updated, if they are I suggest you wait for those to finish then go and try again.
