Help Please.!

I recently just bought HL2: Episode one. And when i load up the game its fine, but after the intro right as you get pulled out of the ground my game freezes and like it brings me to my desktop saying "Internal Driver error in IDirect3dDevice9;;Present()"

I'm not sure waht to do. Your help will be immensly appreciated. :afro:

Hello firstly.

What version of direct x do you have installed? Ensure you have the most up to date version which is direct x 9c.

Do you have your latest graphical drivers installed for your graphics card? If that is the case, consider rolling them back a version.

Lastly try validating your HL2 Episode 1 files in the game options on Steam.
