Help please

So awhile ago I downloaded the demo
And you can only go as far as the 4th chapter
I recently bought Portal and installed it
But it won't work
It acts as if it's the demo
It only lets me get as far as Chapter 4
I tried uninstalling and re downloading, but nothing works
Please help!!!

When you start the game up are you starting "Portal" or "Portal - First slice"? Also, check you've definitely purchased Portal on your Steam account, and verify it with your bank account statement to ensure the money as been deducted and the purchase was successfully completed.

I finally got it to work. It was really weird, it didn't say First Slice, it just said Portal. But I just played it without using Steam and got past Chapter 4. Then I tried it with Steam and got it to work =D
