help please

hi i just downloaded cs source from steam and i can't even play it's so choppy everything skips. I used to play cs 1.6 all the time a year ago. I have a 2.4 ghz 256MB RAM and 64MB video card (i think its a intel intergrated chipset). I know i dont have that much video memory but it should be enough to be able to play the game i think. help me please.

Sorry, but having an integrated chipset simply isn't enough to play CS:S. You'll have to buy a better graphic card. And you'll also need more RAM to play without choppyness.

yeah you can't expect to play source using a 1.6 machine. It just doesn't work.

Yeh source is way more demanding than 1.6, you can tell with screens. Ive got a Geforce 4 ti4600 128mb thats runs fine with 1gb of OCZ memory.

upgrade and you can. Or just try fiddling with your config 'till you can. Your game will look like shit though.
