Help! Resolution Problems!

I just upgraded to the latest version of CS:S and changed to a higher resolution in game (which my PC and monitor support and I have tried before and it worked fine) but now everytime I open CS:S it switches off my moitor. If I ALT+Tab out of the game the desktop comes back as normal.

I've uninstalled and re-downloaded the game but I can't open the game at all without this happening. Any suggestions?

The resolution setting is stored in the registry.
Should be here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Source\Settings

The two keys you want to edit are: ScreenHeight and ScreenWidth (try something lower like 800x600).
