Help! Source games not working!

This problem's REALLY been annoying me for a while. Whenever I try to play a Source game, I get this error message:

I've tried reinstalling everything, updating video drivers, and nothing works. HELP!

Is that Vista? If so, you might be SOL. Vista and Source aren't friendly with one another, primarily because the current Vista graphics drivers, to put it bluntly, suck ass.

Vista has all kinds of problems, but I don't think this is specific to that - I've gotten that error before. Best I can suggest is deleting your clientregistry.blob and redownloading everything.

I don't use Vista. It's XP with a Vista theme to it.
