help steam dont start

my steams not starting.. I double click it and it doesnt load.. then I do that about a million more times and it still doesnt load. But when I CTRL+ALT+DEL, I can see steam.exe on the process section.

Wait be patient, wait like 10 minutes. Read emails in the mean time try to get your mind off the fact that it appears to be doing nothing, I know I go mad waiting to see if it's actually doing anything but most of the time if you wait long enough it will work.

that happens to me all the time! steam is pretty gay if i can barely even turn it on... im also always stuck at the preparing to play counter strike screen and i cant bind movement controls to my arrow keys if i do manage to make it in... ARG STEAM SUCKS

ok now it loaded and I was lucky enough that steam didnt freeze up on me.. but now it says the game is unavailable at the time.. hmm wth is goin on

Mines the same.
I clicked on HL and it tells me that it will be ready to play in 191 days.
