HELP! Stuck on Our Benefactors level

I just reached the second message from Breen (the about no need for a Rogue Physicist). The choices I have is a tunnel to the left, where there is a low fence stopping me from getting to the energy beam ( jump is disabled this level), or a tunnel to the right where there is an electric blue 'fence' I can't get through. I looked in the Prima Guide and it says I should be able to get right through. Any ideas?

Just rip one of the upper console pieces off of the wall with the gravity gun and place it on the small fence like a ramp. Walk up and over.

You have lost the ability to jump. Just go back to start of level and try again. This happens to some ppl. It happened to me so I reinitialised the level and then I was able to jump. Good Luck
