Don't turn on Steam if you have trojan. They may, or may already, steal your account.

Turn off Auto-Protect for Norton while playing Source Games such as CSS.

Don't worry. A new update causes Symantec products to inadvertantly flag Steam games as trojans. They are working on a solution as we speak.

From Tweakguides - http://www.tweakguides.com/

Users of Symantec's security products have recently been finding that they cannot launch Steam-based games. It appears the reason for this, as discussed on the Steam Forums, is that a new update from Symantec is inadvertantly flagging Steam games as trojans. Symantec are aware of the problem and are working on a patch, the only solution at the moment is to disable any background or automatic protection. Note that in general I always recommend (and so do game developers) that users disable all background programs - including security software - when gaming, as they are known to potentially cause conflicts and performance issues.

Symantec products cause conflicts with all programs, even Windows.

What your trying to do is just stir up arguments. Thats just like saying, "My car is better than yours. Period."
Don't bother.

Its good the company of Norton are aware of the problem, and their fixing it.

Neh he's right, Norton AV couldn't detect a hay stack on a needle. I used it for 2 years before resorting to AVG. Basic protection and a minimal memory hog.
