And fixed. Hah.

u get warnings for stuff like that...
however try installing nu Drivers for ur grafix Card
and try to get a hokd of Tech support

You get this problem if you force HL2 to run in dx9 mode. Atleast i do neway. Maybe you done that o_O

There are two fixes (Assuming you have a GeForce FX 5xx0 card)

One is to type mat_dxlevel 90 and mat_clipz 0 in the console (A little messy sometimes)

The other is to download a program called 3DAnalyze and install that. Then open it, and go through these steps:
1) Under "EXE (select the application file)" select HL2.exe
2) Under "DLL Path (where the hook dll(s) should be placed)" select any file in half-life2\hl2\bin
3) Under "PRE-RUN EXE (select a pre-running application file)" select steam.exe
4) Put a tick mark by:
---a) under Pixel and Vertex Shader, "force low precision pixel shader"
---b) under Remove Stuttering, "performance mode"
---c) "force hook.dll (only use it, when the app makes no use of 3D-Analyze!)" (lower left corner)
5) Type in the ATi Radeon 9800 Pro VendorID and DeviceID into the correct spaces.
6) Click RUN
If all went well, you should get a message saying something like "Create3DProcess Failed!" Click OK and then run HL2, and it should automatically run in DX9.

The second process is longer, but there is no clipping in the water, which you may see plenty of if you use the first process.

THAT would be a real problem.

you would go around and see water everywhere and be sent to a mental hospital.
