help! what is goin on??

hi,

i enabled console by adding this [-applaunch 220 -dev -tconsole] to the 'target' on the HL2 icon. now i can access the console, but now there is white text at the top of the screen that displays everything that happens.. like physics, what npcs are thinking etc.. how do i get rid of it??

I thought you could just add -console, to the end of the launch parameters to make the console appear. Have you tried that without the other things?

Also, have you tried just enabling the developers console option in 'keyboard options' under 'advanced' and pressing the ' button next to 1 & underneath Esc?

-applaunch 220 = launch HL2
-console = enable console
-dev = enable developer messages

Guess which one of those you don't need?
