Help with a level?

Hi,

I'm having trouble making it through a level in HL2. I'm not sure what the level's name is. So I attached a screen shot showing where I'm standing in the game. There doesn't seem to be any way out. Could you give me a clue? Thanks.

Did you get to the part where you have to kill 2 (or maybe 3) striders with a RPG crate when you ontop of a building?

A clue: Where you walk in that area will trigger new events and cause parts of the level to open up. Tryin to get to the horse aren't you?
Just run around a bit more.

You have to make your way across some concrete and then you have to walk across these iron beams to get to the horse statue.

Man, I was stuck on where to go in that part so badly. I think, and this isn't going to be dead on as I haven't played the game since January, that where you have to go there is a Resistance fighter standing + rocket ammo crate. Once you find him, him being on the second 'floor' (if you can call it that, its more like a ledge) next to, as someone up there said, a concrete girder.. thing.

I'm not sure about the horse as I don't see one. But, there is the concrete barrier of some sort that I can't get over. I even put stuff to climb on right next to the concrete wall (see cars piled up to the left). But, it won't let me jump over it.

Here is the deal. As J_Tweedy said you need to run around a bit. As you move through this part you will queue different events. Such as a strider blowing a hole through the wall that you will need to pass through. And yes. You are definitely headed for the horse. the NPCs will make you fully aware of that as time goes on.

Just go up the stairs and some striders attack, don't they?

im on that route kanal level and fell into the area with the grate floors and pipes everywere...right when u fall into the room, u get attacked by the flying things with the saw blades and red lights, i cant figure out how to get out of that area. can anyone help?

seidlt, there should be a wheel that you need to turn somehwere, and the room will flood. Then go through a hole and continue on... and those are called manhacks by teh way.

Climb up the ladder and jump off it onto the pipe and go along it to the ledge you can't reach otherwise, then go into the next room and in the mass of pipes there's a wheel to turn to flood the place, then head back and go down the ladder and swim through the hole there. Break the boards at the bottom of the bit you get to to get some stuff to jump on to get up and out of the water.
