Help with an illness

Can anyone tell me what the name of the illness is where whether a person is depressed or not depends mainly on the weather or the season?

Cabin Fever is probably not what you're thinking of.

Tell your friend that winter is the best season of the year and that he should enjoy it! HE SHOULD ENJOY IT!

SAD can, in some cases, be fixed very easily: use a sunbed a couple of times a week.

Yeah, SAD.

Fix it with a small dose of ultraviolet light every now and then. Make sure you look up correct doses though, because it could be pretty unhealthy.

There are some kinds of like ultra violet lamp type things you can get. Its hard to explain but my cousins that live in Alaska have to sit in a room with one for like 10 minutes every day.
