I am trying to insert my own custom avatar from Google. I am having trouble doing so. What am I doing wrong?
Here is what I do: Google.com->Images->I search for an image that is less than 50x50 pixels and less 19.5 Kb.-> I click on the image to see it alone->I then copy the URL address into the custom avatar address line...but then there is an error uploading the image. So, what am I doing incorrectly? Thanx in advance.

I'd recommend right clicking on the full size picture, saving it to the desktop, then uploading it from there. That's normally the easiest way to do it.

Or just paste the link here and I'll add it for you.

Yay, looks like it worked :)

Thanx...I finally changed it. I might be switching between many, now that I know how to do it.

Edit: Yup, it worked. :)

I'm gonna change mine quite frequently. I'm gonna go through all of the forum smileys, resize them and use them :D

Cool.

But I think I'll change my again to an even better ESRB rating...you'll see. :p

Hmmm... <- how are you going to do that?

You can't really do that one. Actually, I could because I can have big avatars, but that's not fair on everyone else :p

Chris_D, could you please allow me to upload an avatar from my computer with the dimensions of 40x56 pixels? Just 6 pixels above the limit. I can't seem to find any other one that works besides this one (every other one seems to give a Not Found error whenever I click on it). Considering you're a moderator, I figured I'd ask you. So, could you do me that favor please?

Sorry mate, can't do that :(

If I give you a 56x56 avatar, someone will want a 64x64 avatar then a 100x100 avatar. Sorry :(

0kay, man...I understand, if you allow me to do it, then you would have to let everyone else do it, too. :(

Exactly. You could save it to your computer though and just make it a little smaller.

Actually Chrissy, you can't.

So ner.

What program does everyone use to resize their avatars?

Don't have photoshop. :( Any other programs anyone know?

Paint Shop Pro, but I assume you haven't got that either...

Take a wild guess. :p

Doesn't matter now, I just remembered that CrazyHarij, gave me that site!

Don't you dare touch :hmph:, that's my smile! *Pulls out sword*
