Help with BF1942 install

I used to have bf1942, but i uninstalled it a while ago. Now i want to play it again, but every time i install, it gets to 46%(vechicle3.bik) and freezes, then when it wakes up, it gives me a messege that media is missing. Im thinking that 46% is time to change disks, but there is no messege for it and when i try to, it gives me the same messege

Sounds like your disc is buggered to me. Try cleaning it up a little, but if it's a proper scratch your screwed really.

Duh, im dumb, i never even thought of that, il try right now

But before i do, can you reccomend how to clean it?

They have a Dr. Disc thing that cleans off scratches...other than that i dont know

if that dosent work..download the broken CD from the internet..thats legal right? if u own the game i mean..
