Help with Catalyst Drivers!

I have a Mobility Radeon 9600 and when I try to install any catalyst drivers in the middle of trying to install it an INF error pops up and then says Video Driver Not Found. Can anyone help me with this problem? Half Life 2 freezes at the same spot for me every time I play it. It's really making me angry! :angry:

try redownloading the driver from ATI.. also, you could try a couple of different versions.. I found 4.7 and now 4.10 to be stable..

Just in case, here's a guide to uninstalling ATI drivers.

have you uninstalled the previous driver???? uninstall the previous driver then install the new driver.

He's got a MOBILITY Ati Radeon 9600. The normal drivers from ATI won't install on such a computer (notebook, I presume). If they would install, they would work, though. Don't now why Ati prevents notebook users from using their latest Catalysts.

@Billy: Either try your notebook manufacturer or search for Omega Drivers or DNA Drivers. Their modified drivers usually work on all ATI gfx boards from 7500 upwards.

DNA Drivers also has some bug fixes in their drivers wtr to Half Life2.

you get your drivers from the notebook ,laptop manufacture dont use ati catalyst drivers for mobile radeon. i've posted this before too.
