Why does FRAPS lock my fps to 30 in CSS while recording and does not in Day of Defeat source? Any help?

EDIT: I have seemed to have fixed this ( or it straited its self out ) but now Im haveing problems with the play back speed, the video moves so fast that the sound can not keep up, not to mention the fact that it looks like i use hax. any idea as to why?

yes, i do have the same problem with fraps. my only solution was to tune down the recording quality and locked the frame rate at 30 and it was settled. BTW, fraps videos CANNOT be used in youtube. you have to import it into a video software (Windows MOVIE MAKER will screw up your sound and vid, try not to use it) and then convert it to an avi, mov or mpg. Then upload..

windows movie maker works just fine, according to the FRAPS FAQ, most media players cant keep up with the mass amounts of data that fraps records in to the video clip. As far as im concerned right now, if thats the only way to fix it, fraps is useless to me.

Ok thanks, any other screen capturing programs you would recomend for capturing in game video? I've been told FRAPS is good, but it just isnt work right.

EDIT: Is source recorder a built in recorder or a third party program I have to look for?
