Help with Gordon costume

So we've verified that I'm a nerd, right? I'm going to dress up as Gordon for Halloween. Here's his I.D. info that I gathered. Would it be in the right order for a real I.D. tag?

Dr. Gordon Freeman
Level 3 Research Associate
Anomalous Materials Laboratory
Black Mesa Research Facility

I've already got a lab coat, I'm going "old school" Gordon. Except with a crowbar, hopefully. How would you suggest me making a crowbar? I'm sure my administrator (heh, administrator) would like it if I ran around with one all day Friday (the day we dress up, I realize it's not the 31st). Plus, it'd be pretty heavy to lug around too.

Believe me, if I had thought about it earlier, and had the time, I would have. But if I did the HEV now, it'd look like crap.
 
All you need is a few cardboard boxes and orange paint.
And take the real crowbar in - see how long it is before you are suspended!
 
Just get a real crowbar. May I suggest painting it with a fresh coat of red paint, with silver highlights?
 
For the crowbar you can use a sharpened walking stick or something (you know, the old bent ones).
 
And somehow modify it to go "PING" every time you hit something with it.

Nah. It would be cooler if you did the sound effects yourself. 'PPPING'. 'PIIIIING'. I hear girls love it when guys do that - when you do that, they know that you are awesome.

are you going to sport the beard and black glasses? If you had a small dog you could try to make it look like a headcrab and take it with you lol.

Yep, still trying to find the glasses, though. I thought it would be funny to attach a fake headcrab to my face halfway through the day too.

then randomly hit urself in the face with the crowbar
 
just go as a zombie/scientist. get a lab coat, make a head crab, attach the head crab to your face, and cover yourself in fake/real blood or ketchup.

...local hardware store.....go to where a house or apartment complex is being built and you'll find srap pieces there.

Get one of those Fake nose and moustache gag glasses and rip the schnoze off.
I'd Make the headcrab from a bike helmet and paper machey

your welcome. you should post pics of the final costume on here. hehe. You could kinda make the front legs into the chinstrap so they woudln't be in the way
 
just use a crowbar tbh...or get a fake shotty from a toy shop!
 
yeah, he did a good job on those costumes. hope he saved the zombie for halloween.
 
I'm gonna dress up as Gordon too, just for kicks.

I got the crowbar. I bought some Gordanish sunglasses at the flea market and busted out the lenses. I'll wear my HL2 shirt from E3 2003 and, well, that'll be it.

Low budget, but I'm not too serious about it. Just for fun. :) Maybe I'll post some picts.
