Help with graphics card and Orange Box

Hey folks.

I am interested in buying the Orange Box, but i am a little concerned with my graphics card.

I have a dell laptop with a Mobile Intel 945GM chipset

I did all the different system requirement test site's and they say that everythings fine for the minimum, but the recommended is just under snuff in the graphics card department. However, i have read that there is some problems with the 945GM playing the games in the Orange Box and i was curious what you guys think. Thanks again for your support, i appreciate it.

Mmmm, does seem a bit risky. How does Half-Life 2 run? If you don't have it you might like to try the demo, Episode One and Two are harder to run than HL2 but if that runs fine at a reasonable resolution and medium settings then you'll be fine.

According to that page, 945GM isn't compatible with HL2. So it likely wouldn't work with Orange Box games either

all intel ones are integrated, infact most all laptops are integrated .

also to answer you question OP, there have been other threads regarding this video chip i believe. a quick search will help.

Ok the steam forums pretty much confirmed the fact that i am screwed. Oh well, time to buy a 360 i guess. Thanks guys, i appreciate your fast help.
