help with music folders!!!!!!!!!

ok i got all songs in one folder, and some seperate songs which is actually bought on cd's in their designated CD folders. but everytime i go to the my music folder that there in always some songs are seperated into an unknown artist folder with numbers before there names. like wtf is this, i already renamed them and moved them out of there, but they go back?? can anyone plz help me!!!!!!

Ok. You have too explain it in more detail cause, it's confusing.

sounds like you're using iTunes. Right?

I'm assuming you're using iTunes and have the automatically sort songs option checked. You can either find that and uncheck it, or right click, properties on all your songs and put the correct artist and album name into the right spots.

yes itunes. but like the sources, where the actual songs are, get re arranged into an unknown artist folder and its making me mad, plz help me before i reformat it and start all over again.

I know what this is. It's Windows Media Player f*****g with your s**t. I used WMP to rip a whole load of songs off of various CD's, then after restart/randomly they get moved to an Unknown folder.

You can fix it by going into the options then the Privacy tab and untick EVERYTHING if it isn't already. Also untick bottom half of Player tab. Untick all of the Library tab.

Now you should be free of Microsofts spying.
