Help with my memory

Okay, so, today I remembered a story I read a long time ago. I want to know the site I got it from, because (as I recall) it was really good. But, I can't get the information I need from Google because I don't remember any specific keywords that would be helpful.

Does anyone else remember a story that went like this:

I also remember that the server-crashing was performed by bring 255 or 256 powerful players into a single area and having them all cast a certain spell at the same time...
